People may think that they “can’t teach an old dog new tricks,” but that’s actually false! In fact, adult dogs, for example, may amaze you by how much easier to train they are than pups. In today’s post, we are sharing some tips for teaching your pet tricks!
Teach your dog to roll over.
While this may seem to be a basic trick, it never fails to delight and is one of the easier tricks to teach. Follow the directions from The American Kennel Club and soon your dog will be rolling over on command.
Teach your dog to stand on hind legs.
This is a fun trick that you can achieve if you have the patience to put in the effort for it! It’ll be a great sight to see for small, large, or medium-sized animals. Learn how to train your dog to stand on hind legs to give them a bit of a leg-up on life this month!
Teach your cat a handshake.
It’s common to see a dog give a handshake, but it’s a bit less common with cats! In fact, teaching cats special tricks can seem like a new concept in and of itself, as they’re often seen as untrainable or aloof. But your cat can pick up new tricks with some simple training from you.
